高野竹工（たかのちっこう）


京都府長岡京市に本社と工房を構える竹工芸の老舗企業です。
創業者である初代社長、不窮斎（ふきゅうさい）高野忠男氏は、
生家が竹工芸店を営んでいた影響もあり、幼少より竹に親しみ
その魅力に傾倒してきました。特に千利休が自然界が生む竹の美しさを
茶道具に用いたその心眼に感服し、茶道具作家としての道を選びました。
その遺志と技術は脈々と後人の職人に受け継がれ、現在も竹に限らず
新たな自然素材に取り組み、上質な茶道具なども作りを続けています。

【Takano Chikko】
headquartered in Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture,
is a long-established bamboo craft company.
The founder, the first president, Fukyusai Tadao Takano,
was influenced by his family's bamboo craft business and
developed a deep appreciation for bamboo from a young age.
He was particularly impressed by Sen no Rikyu's insight in
incorporating the natural beauty of bamboo into tea utensils,
which led him to pursue a career as a tea utensil craftsman.
His legacy and techniques have been meticulously passed down to
subsequent artisans, who continue to create high-quality
tea utensils and other products, exploring not only bamboo
but also new natural materials.
